Founded in 1957, the Vanderburgh Humane Society has provided services and programs to the people and animals of the Tri-State for 60 years. The organization has adopted policies and procedures to protect the animals in our care and the donors who make our work possible.
As a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization, the Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) relies heavily on donations to support the variety of programs offered to the community, many of which are offered free of charge. We do not receive financial support from the government, local taxes, United Way, or any national animal welfare organization including the Humane Society of the United States.
