Search Found Pets

Search any stray animals that are currently in custody by clicking one of the buttons below. A "stray" is considered any animal who is found wandering with no known owner and no identification, who is brought in to the shelter by a member of the public. Strays are held for a 7-day stray hold to allow time for their owner to reclaim. Otherwise, if not reclaimed after 7 days the animal legally becomes the property of the VHS and can be adopted out or transferred out at any time.

The VHS intake team does our best to add photos of stray animals as soon as they come in. If you see your lost pet listed here, please contact us as soon as possible at (812) 426-2563, extension 208. Leave a message if no one answers. We want to reunite lost pets with their families as quickly as possible!
