The VHS’ general operating budget is roughly $1.8 million dollars every year. It takes a huge amount of money to care for the large number of animals that we do and to keep our lifesaving mission pushing forward. We receive no consistent funding from government sources, taxes, or national organizations like the ASPCA or HSUS. Therefore, every dollar raised must come from direct givers just like YOU! Cash gifts are fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income.

Please know that our most urgent need is always monetary donations! We can make your dollar stretch further as a nonprofit. Our largest needs are things that the public cannot purchase for us such as medications, vaccines, equipment, utilities, and so on.
