Happy Tails Resale Shop
The Happy Tails Resale Shop is located in an unfinished portion of our shelter directly across the porch from the main entrance. It has been operating since November 8, 2014! We sell all kinds of items, not just pet supplies! This includes housewares, toys, books, furniture, and more, much like the Goodwill, Salvation Army, or Thrift Store would sell.
Store Shopping Hours:
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
The shop raises nearly $300,000 a year to help support VHS programming and operational expenses. Visit us on Facebook to see weekly sales and weather/holiday-related closing announcements!
Donation Hours:
Please note! Our donations hours and policy have changed as of 12/1/2023.
Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 4pm
Donations are limited to one drop off per week and must not exceed the following:
- Two medium boxes
- Two 13 gallon trash bags full of clothing
- Two additional items that will not fit into a box
For large furniture donations, please call 812-426-2563 (ext. 0) and leave a message. Someone will return your call.
Tax donation receipts available upon request!
There are certain types of items that we cannot accept. We only accept clean, smoke-free, good-condition items in working order. Please clean your items thoroughly before bringing them. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t give it to us. It costs us valuable time and resources to dispose of unusable items.
PLEASE do not leave items in the driveway, porches on Sundays and Mondays.
