Cat Care and Cleaning Days: Mornings between 8-noon (approximately a 2 hour commitment

Job description – Cleaning cat areas, scooping litter boxes, refilling water and food bowls, sweeping & mopping floors, restocking supplies, emptying trash, and assessing cat’s health and wellbeing. Volunteer will be responsible for one of our 3 cat areas.

Volunteer requirements - Volunteer must be at least 16 years old and able to commit to a regular day and time. Must be able to bend over, stand on a step stool, lift 30 pounds, be detail oriented, follow directions and work independently.

Dog Walking

Days and times needed – Daily 8-10am and 2-4pm

Job description – Taking our adoptable dogs out of their kennels and leash walking them to our fenced in yards. Interacting with each dog for approximately 10 minutes, which includes playing, training, brushing, petting, scooping their feces and assessing each dog’s health and wellbeing. May sometimes include feeding, watering, and cleaning up messes. Volunteer will be responsible for assisting staff in one of our 3 dog areas.

Volunteer requirements - Volunteer must be at least 16 years old and able to commit to a regular day and time. Must be able to leash walk large and exuberant dogs, bend over, lift 30 pounds, be detail oriented, read signs, follow directions and work independently.

Small Animal Care and Cleaning

(Small animals = small domestic pets, like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, ferrets, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.)

Days and times needed – Mornings between 8-noon (approximately a 2 hour commitment)

Job description – Cleaning small animal cages and providing them with food, water, toys, and treats. Also includes sweeping & mopping floors, restocking supplies, emptying trash, and assessing animal’s health and wellbeing.

Volunteer requirements - Volunteer must be at least 16 years old and able to commit to a regular day and time. Must be able to bend over, stand on a step stool, lift 30 pounds, be detail oriented, read and follow directions and work independently.

We schedule our staff around our volunteer’s availability. We count on volunteers to help us care for all the animals to our high standards. We need hard working, dependable volunteers that we can count on to show up when scheduled.
