Going, Going, Gone to the Dogs! "Fantastic Pets"

The Vanderburgh Humane Society’s 24th annual Going, Going, Gone to the Dogs! Benefit Dinner & Auction, sponsored by Pet Food Center and Jack Rogers Realty, will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Old National Events Plaza Ballroom. (A new date and new venue this year!) The 2019 theme is, “Fantastic Pets & Where to Find Them!” The auction typically nets over $60,000 each year for the VHS, which serves the largest number of animals in the Tri-State each year.

The VHS receives no tax-based funding and therefore must depend on the generosity of the corporate community and the public to continue the much needed services it offers. The 24th annual GGGD Benefit Dinner & Auction is designed to be the largest single fundraising event for a humane society in the Tri-State. The auction will feature a preview cocktail party, dinner, and both silent and live auctions. Higher-valued items, unique items, or packages with high interest will be featured in the live portion of this successful event.

Tickets begin at $90 per plate. A benefactor level is available for $125 which features a listing in the auction catalog distributed to all attendees. Tables of 10 are available for $1,000 (individuals) or $1,250 (businesses.) All attendees receive a plated meal; auction bid number; complimentary wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres for the first hour; and a fine evening of supporting animals in need in your own community. Reservations must be made in advance no later than Monday, May 13. Seats will not be sold at the door!

Please register and pick up your bid packet upon arriving. This will also have your table assignment. Preview party and silent auctions begin at 5:30 pm, with free beer, wine, soda, & hors d'oeuvres for the first hour. Cash bar after 6:30. Silent auctions close at 7:15 pm and dinner & live auction begins at 7:30 pm!

You will have the opportunity to buy a half-pot cookie for $30 when you arrive. Winning cookie splits the pot with VHS, $1500 each! Volunteers will also be selling Heads or Tails beads for your chance to win 2 Southwest Airlines tickets during the live auction. Bring some cash!
